Alex Huntington-Wilson, DPT, MTC received her Bachelor of Health Sciences with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching in 2013 from Black Hills State University in South Dakota. She went on to graduate with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida. In 2017, Alex completed her Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) through University of St. Augustine, which is a specialty treatment approach that consists of hands-on techniques designed to mobilize joints, muscle, connective tissue and nerves to facilitate healing and restore functional mobility.
Alex has been working with the Boise VA Medical Center in both acute care (hospital) and traditional outpatient settings since 2017. Alex has volunteered her time traveling to El Salvador to treat patients that do not have access to health care. She enjoys all areas of therapy, but is particularly drawn to orthopedics (to include dry needling and other manual techniques), neurologic/ movement disorder rehab, adaptive sports, sports medicine, and geriatric rehab and balance.
Alex grew up in the mountains of Divide, Colorado. She resides in Meridian with her husband, three dogs, and two cats. They are a licensed foster home and hope to grow a family someday. The Wilsons spend their spring and summers on the softball field, golf course, and mountain bike trails and their winters on the ski slopes. Alex also coaches fast-pitch softball pitching and batting lessons for youth. They are big baseball fans and love spending their free time traveling.
You may remember Alex from her patient spotlight in August 2021, and we are so excited to welcome her to our All In team. She is looking forward to getting to know the community and providing the All In Physical Therapy high standard of care to all her patients. We know you all are going to love her.
